NAVTEQ Traffic(TM) Surpasses Two Million Subscriptions

Navteq Traffic surpasses two million subscribers in North America. Navteq Traffic almost quadrupled the subscribers from one year ago. Navteq Traffic was one of the first companies to deliver real time traffic to navigation maps in 2004.

This can be seen as good news since two major distribution method for Navteq Traffic is via Sirius Travel Link and XM NavTraffic. Both utilizes traffic information from satellite radio.
